I found another very helpful tool to assist in developing your site. Ever wonder what you site looks like in Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Safari, etc.? How about specific versions of all those different browsers? You can see all the screenshots of the various browsers from Linux, Windows and MAC OS and BSD operating systems. Browsershots provides that capability in a simple and free way.
Per their site, “when you submit your web address, it will be added to the job queue. A number of distributed computers will open your website in their browser. Then they will make screenshots and upload them to the central server here.”
Here were the results I received. When you scroll over the various screenshots, it will zoom in. The browsers and operating systems are listed below each screenshot.
As you can see, the various browsers and operating systems bring up different results. Try it out, it’s free. Did you try Browsershots? Were you surprised by the results? Do you have any alternate sites you use to get the same results?
