10 Celebrity Gossip Sites We Hate to Love

In today’s society, we are fascinated with celebrities & their everyday lives. Perhaps it’s a way to escape our own lives. We watch the rise and fall of so many celebrities with the help from magazines such as Entertainment, US Weekly & countless others. Celebrity gossip sites are among the fastest growing sites on the net. I’m not one to be starstruck, but occasionally enjoy the mindless entertainment from watching TMZ & checking out the latest news from a few of the sites listed below.

TMZ exploded following their coverage of Mel Gibson’s DUI & Michael Richards career ending performance at the Laugh Factory. TMZ is probably the most prominent site, thanks in large part to their TV show.

The Superficial may be best known for concentrating on behaviors of celebrities and by showing NSFW photographs. They have been known to poke fun at a celeb or two along the way.

Gawker – Gawker is based out of New York and has exploded in popularity thanks to the infamous Tom Cruise Scientology Video and Sarah Palin’s E-mail leak.

The Defamer is all about Los Angeles Gossip. They feed you celebrity gossip, news, photographs & more.

What Would Tyler Durden Do? Named after Fight Club character Tyler Durden, wwttd is known for making fun of celebs, publishing revealing photos & rumors.

DListed has been described as snarky and unforgiving. The site takes a deep look into some of the celebs and pokes fun of them all.

PopSugar is another Celeb news and rumors site, but is a bit different. Unlike most of the others, PopSugar doesn’t typically poke fun at celebrities.

Jezebel was originally created as a branch off of Gawker. The purpose of Jezebel was to focus on the women readers of Gawker. Jezebel has been mentioned as one of the sites that led to an “estrogen online revolution.”

Egotastic is a bit different from the rest. It’s focus is on the sexy side of celebrities. They are known for displaying sexy and at times NSFW photos of Celebs. The site could definitely use a redesign.How many of you keep tabs on celebrity news, gossip, etc? I enjoy some of it, but really don’t care about how much Jessica Simpson weighs or about her love for mom jeans. I enjoy some good old gossip, but I do draw a line sometimes.
