I’ve been on a hunt for ringtones recently and have found some amazing sites that take away the need to purchase a ringtone ever again. Not only can you get ringtones for free with these sites, but you can create a ringtone of your own and have access to an amazing selection of established ringtones. A few of my favorites I’ve found are
ZEDGE - Free tool that gives you the ability to create, download and upload ringtones, videos, themes, wallpaper, games and more. Use the selection of tools to personalize your phone’s theme, icons and ringtones. They feature a catalog of almost 3 million ringtones, which are all rated and ranked.
Phonezoo Beta – Create and share your ringtones and photos with Phonezoo Beta. Once you register for a free account, you can create a ringtone of your choice or download existing, sending ringtones directly to your phone or saving it to your computer. All ringtones are rated by users.
Audiko - Simple and free site that lets you create, edit and grab ringtones for your phone. Just upload, edit and share your ringtone. You can also create ringtones from YouTube videos.
Mobile9 - Share and download free themes, ringtones, wallpaper and much more using Mobile9. They feature categorized themes and it’s free to register and use this service.
Lifehacker also shows you a step-by-step process, using the free tool Audacity, to create your own ringtone via your mp3′s. So, be sure to check out Lifehacker’s Geek to Live: Make a Ringtone from Any MP3.
Have you found any great ringtones you’d like to share?
