2 Best Twitter iPhone Apps for My Money

On 06/20/2009, in movies, by Brian

When I began typing this post, my initial intention was to publish the 10 best Twitter iPhone and iPod Touch Apps. However, after test driving several Twitter Apps, it was clear to me that 2 Apps stood out amongst the group. I’m sure everyone has their favorite Twitter Apps, but for me these 2 Apps are the cream of the crop.

Twitterific Premium ($3.99) -Beautiful user interface, very well designed and loaded with features.  The App lets you choose from 3 themes, 4 notification chimes and perform general or nearby searches. View trending topics and use advanced features such as setup shortcuts and external sites and Apps.

One of my favorite things about Twitterific Premium is when you click on a tweet, you have the following simple to use buttons pop up; thread, author, @author, retweet, link, favorite, and e-mail.Twitterific Premium is attractive, simple to use and well worth the $3.99 I paid. It’s my favorite overall Twitter App and one I’m confident you’ll enjoy.

TweetDeck (FREE) - Create Groups, search Twitter, manage multiple accounts and share photos and links. My favorite feature, besides creating groups is the ability to create additional columns. I created a column for Digg Friends, one for techy friends, etc. The column feature reminds me of a tabbed browser with smoother scrolling, thanks to the touch technology.

Do you have any favorite Twitter Apps? Any recommendation for Blackberry Twitter Apps? As always, your recommendations and feedback are appreciated.

  1. Sometimes I think about getting an iphone or something of the sort — maybe I will next time I upgrade!

    • Hey Kathryn, I actually have an iPod Touch, rather than an iPhone. It
uses wifi and gives you access to all the apps. I love my touch. I use
a blackberry storm for my phone, but would def switch to an iPhone if
      Verizon inked the deal.

  2. very cool apps, i love my iphone, and this kind of apps makes me love it even more
