In surfing around YouTube today, I found a very interesting video that previews the new BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550) and compares it to the original BlackBerry Storm. If you’re looking for a new BlackBerry or just curious as to what the new BlackBerry Storm 2 will feature, you may want to check out this video that provides 6 improvements over the original BlackBerry Storm. Though no official date has been set for its launch, rumor has it that the BlackBerry Storm 9550 will be released October 14th.
Summary of Improvements
- Cleaner Look
- Wi-Fi
- Increased Application Memory (From 54MB to 138MB)
- Increased Device Memory (From 879MB to 1.8GB)
- Improved Typing Accuracy
- Overall Faster Device
- Enhanced Camera
The device definitely seems faster and I like that they’ve added more memory. I don’t really care too much about the camera aspect, since it’s the feature I use the least. The two most critical improvements are the addition of Wi-Fi and the improved touch typing accuracy. Without these additions and enhancements, the device would have probably flopped. So what do you think?
