For the last couple of hours, I’ve been attempting to fix a database error I received when accessing my site. The issues began when I started to install WordPress Version 2.8.4. It never completed the install process and instead redirected me to a blank page. I was left unable to access either my site or WordPress Dashboard. From within my hosting site control panel, I found that my configuration files may have been messed up in the upgrade process.
This was my first experience with Bluehost customer service and I must say I was very satisfied with their service. Using the chat feature, a technical support specialist quickly walked me through a few steps and restored a backup from 12 hours ago. I do apologize for the down time. Hopefully we won’t see anymore issues. Things are up and running and I intend to keep it that way.
