One of the great things about Firefox is the ability to change themes. Get tired of the look and feel of your Firefox theme, no problem, just switch it up. Firefox currently has over 40,000 themes that are simple to install and best of all, they’re free.
Rather than sorting through 40,000 themes, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite Dark Firefox Themes. I’ve previously used NASA Night Light and am now using Office 2007 Black.
NASA Night Launch (Firefox 3.0 – 3.6) – 5 Stars, 363 reviews, over 10 million downloads. “Dark theme for Firefox. Inspired by the night launch of STS-116.”
RedShift V3 (Firefox 3.5) – 5 Stars, 548 reviews, 6.8 million downloads. “The highly anticipated Shift V3 series is finally on it’s way. This version is a public release candidate testing the compatibilities of V3.”
Gradient iCool (Blue) (Firefox 2.0 – Firefox 3.6b1pre) – 5 Stars, 267 reviews, 1.9 million downloads. “A modern glassy dark theme with unique animated interface. A perfect mixture of black and blue for your ultimate Firefox browser.”
PitchDark for Fx (Firefox 3.0a1 – 3.5) – 5 Stars, 155 reviews, 4.8 million downloads. “Dark-colored minimalistic theme with emphasis on visibility, usability and maximum screen real estate.”
Black Stratini (Firefox 3.0 – 3.7a1pre) – 5 Stars, 34 reviews, 150,984 downloads. “Dark theme based on Stratini.”
Office 2007 Black (Firefox 3.0 – 3.7a1pre) – 5 Stars, 141 reviews, 802,965 downloads. “A theme based on the Office 2007 Black colours.”
