10 Android Baseball Apps to Get You Ready for Spring Training

With Spring Training kicking off, I thought I’d do a little homework, exploring some of the best, must-have baseball apps.  Today, I wanted to focus on my favorite platform in the Android. In an attempt to beef up my Droid for the new season, I chose the 10 apps below.

From managing little league teams, to playing games and keeping up with the MLB, the apps below have you covered.

Little League

Little League Baseball Pitch Counter ($1.29) 5 Stars, 50-100 downloads

Track the total number of pitches, strikes and balls for home and visitors. This app alerts coaches and players utilizing the new 2010 Rules for Little League ages 8 to 14. Additional features include pitcher reports and required calendar day rest via e-mail or text.

TEAMtome-Baseball ($2.99) 5 Stars, 50-100 downloads

Organize your team players, schedules, lineups directly from your Android. This app automates and organizes coaches by sending automated email reminders for games, practices and events. TEAMtome-Baseball comes with pre-created templates and you can organize multiple teams.

My BaseBall Bat Stats ($0.99) 4 Stars, 50-100 downloads

Track your batting statistics and data. This app lets you track your performance by storing and tracking data for multiple games. Access, modify and view your stats anytime.

My BaseBall Pitch Stats ($0.99) 2 Stars, <50 downloads

Track your pitching data and statistics. This is the sister to My BaseBall Bat Stats and provides the ability to track your performance.

Baseball Scores (FREE) 4.5 Stars, 10k-50k downloads

Get up-to-date information about current or previous MLB games. You’ll get instant access to box scores, play-by-plays, rosters and detailed player information. Baseball Scores also features auto-refresh, so no need to manually refresh pages.

Baseball Theme ($0.99) 5 Stars, <50 downloads

This app will turn your Android into a baseball machine. It includes 15 icons, 6 menu widgets, a clock widget, 1 wallpaper and app drawer wallpaper.

This addictive game lets you choose from 10 different teams. You can create and customize your pitchers and batters.

HOMERUN BATTLE 3D (FREE or $4.99) 4.5 Stars, 5k-10k downloads

Play online match-up and go head-to-head with this outstanding game.

Pro Baseball Live (FREE) 3.5 Stars, 50k-250k downloads

Get live play by play from all MLB games, track your favorite teams and use your Facebook and Google accounts to chat.

Jumbled Up Sports Words ($2.99) 5 Stars, <50 downloads

Unscramble sports related words, names and phrases. 3 difficulty levels and 9 categories are available. You get player and coach categories from Baseball, Football Basketball, Hockey, Soccer, Boxing, the Olympics and even Golf.
