Reviews I’ve had have led to me creating an About Page, better logo, RSS & Twitter Icons, transitioning to a more simple layout, adding a Related Post section, etc. Below are 14 sites and forums you can use to get free site reviews. Each link below provides a direct link to the site review section of the site offering this service. To help you better choose which to utilize, I’ve identified each Google Page Rank & requirements for review.
Social Network & Other Sites
1. Blog Catalog (PR4) – Blogging community full of members who are very willing to review your site & offer suggestions and feedback. You’ll even see some bloggers who post a thread requesting for you to drop your blog URL in for a review.
2. Bloggeries (PR3) – Bloggeries allows you to submit your site to them for a review. They’ll review your content, uniqueness, activity, appearance & navigation. You’ll get a complete review, image from your blog, a “Rated at Bloggeries” Icon for your blog, etc. Review is free, but to get it within 3 days, donate $50.
Forums
3. Digital Point (PR4) – You must be a registered member for 7 days & have an overall red reputation with 10 total posts to post in the Website Review forum.
4. Young Entrepreneur (PR3) – Requires registration to post. Just title your post thread with the name of your site & niche.
5. Site Owners Forum (PR3) – Requires registration to post. Here’s some general guidelines.
6. SEO Refuge (PR2) – Requires registration to post. Check out their Website Review Tips.
7. Warrior Forum (PR4) – Requires registration to post.
8. Site Point (PR7) – Requires registration to post. You must have reviewed 3 sites within 30 days and follow their additional requirements.
9. SEOChat (PR5) – Requires registration to post. Be sure to read their guidelines for posting reviews.
10. Webdigity (PR4) – Registration required. No posting restrictions, but you can read some guidelines here.
11. DaniWeb (PR6) – Requires registration to post. If you want a review, they request you to review someone elses site. Only 1 review request per month.
12. Google Community (PR5) – Requires registration. You must have atleast 50 posts to post your link for review. See their additional guidelines.
13. Site Reference (PR4) – Requires registration. You must review 3 other sites prior to requesting for a site review. Only 1 review at a time & reply to posts within 48 hours. Here’s additional info.
14. Website Babble (PR3) – Registration required. Low post counts won’t be allowed to post messages & the required post total to post new threads is not advertised. Here’s more info.
I don’t recommend just dropping a request for review in each forum and engaging with the community a bit. Even if you choose not to submit your site for review, I’ve found it’s very helpful to read other reviews or perhaps even taking the time to review other sites. Have you had any helpful reviews lately? What kind of advice did you receive? Any other great places to have your site reviewed that I missed?
