As I browse through all the new music on iTunes, I’m seeing a $1.29 per song price tag. These days, I pick and choose which music I pay for. Gone are the days I purchase full albums. Today’s music just doesn’t appeal to me much. Somehow rock has turned into the Nickelbacks and Punk Music into Emo. I’m not much for Pop Music, nor do I care for Country. The only new music I tend to go for these days are Music Mashups and maybe a little Hip Hop.
If you’ve never listened to Music Mashups, I think you’re missing out. Besides the fact they usually come at a free or very cheap price tag, they take stale music and turn them into something more interesting. The amazing Mashup DJs take two or more songs and use their magic to turn them into one piece of art. While I’ll be the first to admit that not all Music Mashups work, the ones that do have launched their way onto my iPad/iPod and into my daily life. I’ve been keeping tabs on my favorite Mashup sites, most notably BootieMashup.com, to bring the new tracks to your attention for quite some time now.
Today, I wanted to bring them all together for you (and for me).
