Eazy Cheezy's Five Free Apps

When searching through the iPad App Store, we’re limited to search categories such as top charts, top grossing and new and noteworthy. One key category the App Store left us without is the ability to search by Top Rated.

After all, the users can ultimately give us the best indication whether an App is worth us spending the green or whether we should pass. By my count, the iPad Apps, not counting books, currently stands at 7231.

The Apps are broken down into multiple categories. Here is the breakdown of number of apps per category;

687 Education, 208 Business, 714 Entertainment, 92 Finance, 1831 Games, 152 Healthcare & Fitness, 358 Lifestyle, 140 Medical, 346 Music, 131 Navigation, 199 News, 205 Photography, 413 Productivity, 425 Reference, 158 Social Networking, 132 Sports, 441 Travel, 534 Utilities, 65 Weather.

I’ve now browsed through each one to find the highest rated Apps as voted by users. The criteria I chose to go with is to include only Apps that were rated 4.5 to 5, which have a minimum of 25 ratings. All iPad Apps below are available for download at the  iTunes App Store.
