I’m sure you’ve heard about the new iPhone 3.0 and it’s added features, but if you’re like me and don’t want to switch to AT&T, the iPhone Touch may be a nice alternative. You get access to all the Apps and other great things the iPhone offers, minus the telephone service.

Recently, Apple made the 3.0 iPod Touch Software Upgrade Available. It’s a one time fee of $10, but really improves upon the iPod Touch. Below is a summary of added features you’ll get with the upgrade.

• Download movies, TV shows, music videos, and audiobooks over Wi-Fi from the iTunes Store on iPod touch.
• Listen to music wirelessly with the new Bluetooth compatibilityShake your iPod Touch to shuffle the songs.
• New Peer-to-Peer gaming to play against others
• Large Landscape keyboard in Mail, Notes and Safari.
• Spotlight Search lets you search your entire iPod, including your contacts, mail, music, calendar, etc.

If you already have the iPod Touch, I highly recommend the 3.0 Ugrade if you have an extra $10 to spend. My favorite new feature is the added ability to rent or purchase movies and tv shows through my Wifi device. I also love the copy and paste feature, which is long overdue. Twitterific Premium ($3.99) -Beautiful user interface, very well designed and loaded with features.  The App lets you choose from 3 themes, 4 notification chimes and perform general or nearby searches. View trending topics and use advanced features such as setup shortcuts and external sites and Apps.

One of my favorite things about Twitterific Premium is when you click on a tweet, you have the following simple to use buttons pop up; thread, author, @author, retweet, link, favorite, and e-mail.Twitterific Premium is attractive, simple to use and well worth the $3.99 I paid. It’s my favorite overall Twitter App and one I’m confident you’ll enjoy.

TweetDeck (FREE) - Create Groups, search Twitter, manage multiple accounts and share photos and links. My favorite feature, besides creating groups is the ability to create additional columns. I created a column for Digg Friends, one for techy friends, etc. The column feature reminds me of a tabbed browser with smoother scrolling, thanks to the touch technology.

I currently have no time-table for when the Eazy Cheezy App will be developed, but I do plan to make this happen either by developing it myself or by utilizing one of the available business solutions. Do you have any tips you could share? Any services that you’d recommend?

Satellite Radio is dying! The business model is bad. Initially they advertised as “commercial free,” but now just about every station has commercials. To use Satellite Radio, you need to purchase the equipment ($50 to 250$), then pay $12.95 per month for the service. Many Satellite Radio subscribers, including myself, were elated about the merger between XM Radio and Sirius, but the merger has taken a few years and there’s been little added benefit for subscribers. I called XM Radio requesting to get Sirius channels and my monthly rate would jump up to $16.99 per month to add the “Best of Sirius” package to my existing service. Vice-versa with Sirius to add a XM Radio Best of package. With all the free options available, I find this ridiculous.

Perhaps it’s the huge Howard Stern contract or the expenses of utilizing a satellite to bring us service. Regardless, most people can no longer afford this extra bill and there are several free alternatives available that I’d like to explore.

You’ll have access to stream over 150 stations, the ability to mark favorites and tag songs to purchase later.

A bit pricy, but powerful. Perhaps the greatest feature is the ability to listen to web-based subscription services, which include XM Radio and Sirius. Bookmark your favorite stations and tag songs you like to purchase via iTunes.

Wunder Radio – $5.99 (iPod Touch, iPhone)

Give you access to over 30,000 radio stations. Use GPS to get a listing of local stations and has a built in web browser. It supports many formats such as mms, ASX, M3U, PLS and more.

Pandora – Free (iPod Touch, iPhone)

Choose a favorite song or artist and Pandora builds a station of similar music. If you use Pandora from your home computer, it is full integrated so you get your existing stations and preferences.

Last FM - Free (iPod Touch and iPhone)

Create your personal radio stations based on artists or tracks you like. This App lets you view Artist information and concert news and updates. Last FM also makes recommendations to you, based on your listening history.

ooTunes Radio – $3.99 (iPhone, iPod Touch)

ooTunes Radio is an internet stream player that supports mp3, aac and wma streams. It currently features approximately 6000 streams. Using the radio mode, you can have access to each radio station’s webpage, check e-mail and chat while your listening, create tags, set favorites and tweet what you’re listening to.
