The Bootie Blog just released a brand new Bootie Top 10 compilation combining the months of September and October, giving us a total of 20 free blended music mashups. As always, the Bootie Blog delivers bringing us the best of the best music mashup tracks from around the globe.

You can CLICK HERE to download all 20 tracks in a zip file or visit the Bootie Blog to listen to, right click and download each track individually. The Bootie Blog also has a ton of mashups to add to your collection.

While this is intended to be a short post to announce the new Bootie Top 10, I HAVE to bring some attention to the very intriguing mashup of Justin Bieber’s Baby with Slipknot’s PsychoSocial track. As Slipknot sings over Bieber’s track, strangely it sounds a little too real. It gets my pick of mashup of the month, from the top 20. Check it out in the video below.

Top Apps: Best Android Apps To Download Free MP3s

When it comes to entertainment, your Android sure can help you out in a bind. Whether it’s waiting in a long line, traveling or simply just looking to have a little fun at home or on the go, there are countless entertainment apps that cost you nothing.

Today’s focus is on music. Everyone loves music, but paying more than $1 per track can get expensive. The apps below utilize public domains and other sources to deliver your favorite songs directly to your Android device.

Free Music Download

This app lets you search music by keywords or by what’s hot. “What’s Hot!” breaks down categories by top tracks, artists, tags, country and more. Choices are to preview the track or to download it to your library. You get music information and one or more download links to choose from. The app also features a ringtone maker that retrieves both downloaded music and tracks already in your library.

Mp3 Music

With Mp3 Music, you can search by keyboard or find tracks by searching the Billboard charts. Once you find a track to download, you can preview it before downloading. Once downloaded, the track appears in “my music.” The app includes the ability to create a ringtone from all tracks on your device.

MP3 Music Download

Search music by keyword, find top tracks by charted categories such as UK Singles, European and American Pop, Japan and South Korea Pop, Rap Music and several more. Though it doesn’t have the prettiest interface, it’s deep in options providing the ability to edit tags, make ringtones and share with “send to.”

MP3 Music Download Power

The app has one of my favorite interfaces, but comes with a few annoyances when launching the app. Search a track, artist or album or click on “list” to access countless weekly charts that include iTunes, Billboard, UK Chart, Popular Bands, Top Songs By Year and more. You can click “playing now” to preview or download to your library. Once downloaded, the “library” tab lets you sort by songs, artists, all played and even mark and access favorites. This app doesn’t offer a ringtone maker.

MP3 Music Downloader

This app lets you search for music by keyword, but doesn’t provide charts or too many other features that the other apps listed offer. However, many tracks do have lyrics displayed. You can play, download and share tracks.

12 Free Music Mashups: Bootie Top 10 is Back With More Slamming Tracks

If you’ve been reading FFA, you probably know how much we love music mashups. If you are new to mashups, you have been missing out. Some of the best DJs in the world take two or more music tracks and blend them into one track. While some of my mashups are in my top playlists, others don’t quite make the cut.

I’m traveling around Maryland and West Virginia and am not particularly digging the stations. In fact, I’m hating the radio stations playing the same old stale content over and over again.

With the release of the new Bootie Top 10, my car trips just got a little more entertaining. Enjoy the new top 10 and be sure to head over to the Bootie Blog to play each track, get a full breakdown and get your hands on all the other great mashups you’ll find.

While I’m not a big fan of the majority of Christmas songs, I sure can appreciate a good mashup, even if the Mashup has a Christmas twist. I love music! Music is a significant part of our lives, whether we realize it or not. Music can make memories, motivate us, help us get through those tough times and even just provide a way to eliminate boredom or even just relax. About a year and a half ago, I posted 20 great music resources, but have since found many more great sites I wanted to share. Below, you’ll find 20 more great music and audio sites. Enjoy!

TheSixtyOne – With thesixtyone, artists upload their work for review and you use Digg-like features to decide what’s good. The top songs display on the homepage where you can listen to the most popular songs for any genre. It’s a good way to find new music. You can earn points, get influence level ups, earn badges, etc.

Create Digital Music – Create Digital Music is a site for musicians that provides daily news, tips, reviews & features for making digital music. They focus on DIY music making, emerging trends, etc.

The Next Big Sound – This site is all about music from unsigned artists. Once you register, you can choose music by category and play the role of a mogul by creating your own label & signing the artists you love. It uses a scoring system as you add artists to your label. When the artists becomes more popular, your point value will continue to grow. It’s kind of like a Fantasy type game with real artists and music.

RadioTime – RadioTime provides online streams of terrestrial radio stations. You can find your favorite stations from around the globe or type in your zipcode and listen to all your local radio stations.

Wolfgang’s Vault – Wolfgang’s Vault provides free access to thousands of live high quality recordings from some of the best artists, such as Bob Marley, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix and so many more.

MTVMusic – As we all know, MTV transformed themselves years ago by tossing the videos for crappy shows such as the Hills. Luckily, MTVMusic sticks with the original MTV concept by sticking with music and high quality videos.

SongBird: Open Source Music Player – Songbird allows you to create dynamic playlists, find upcoming concerts in your area, integrate Last.Fm, use add-ons, and stream music using the Shoutcast Radio directory.

Deezer – Deezer provides free and legal music by providing artists and rights owners with a share of their advertising revenue. You can pick music you want to listen to in one click, access themed radio stations, browse smart radios, get information on artists, share your playlists, help discover new talent & download your own MP3s.

Lala – Lala allows you to play over 6 million songs for free, upload tracks to your Lala collection, get a feed for music recommendations and you can also purchase music from this site. Lala matches the songs on your computer to Lala’s licensed catalog. Songs you already have and playlists you’ve created are instantly added to your Lala collection free. The number of songs you can add is unlimited. Play and share your music, anywhere on the web.

Yahoo! Music – Yahoo! Music provides a variety of music services, including Internet radio, music videos, news, artist information, and original programming.

Mozart – With this site, you can download all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s MP3s free and legally.

BeeMp3 – BeeMp3 is a music search engine for locating mp3 files on the net. They don’t host files, but search & index. They have 800,000 mp3s in their database.

Free Information Society – This site provides historical speeches, sound clips and events in MP3 format. You can listen and download audio from Edison, Einstein, Robert Frost, Hank Aaron, Bush and many more historical audio clips.

MP3 Realm – Mp3Realm is another music search engine that looks for MP3s. You can search for your favorite songs and clips, and filter them out by file duration. Your searches can be based on artist, title, genre or album. Mp3Realm also index’s lyrics.

Media Convert: Free and Online Converter - Media Convert is a tool that converts almost any audio, video, presentation, document, spreadsheet files. It’s free and no registration or downloads are needed.

Free Sound – The Free sound Project is a database of Creative Commons licensed sounds. The focus is on sounds, as opposed to music. You can browse sounds by keywords, upload and download sounds to and from the database & interact with other users.

iSpeech: Read with Your Ears – This site is amazing! You can use it to convert your favorite sites to audio and throw it on your iPod. You can also give your blog readers the option to listen to your blog, convert any document to audio or simply type something in and throw the embedded code onto your blog.

BigBook Search – BigBook Search lets you search for Music, Books and DVDs by their cover art. If you find something that interests you, you can click on the cover and it will direct your to Amazon to purchase.

A Plus D – Don’t You Want My Bad Romance (Lady Gaga vs. Human League) – San Francisco. We knew we were taking a gamble when we went ahead and put this on the “Best of Bootie 2009″ CD — barely a week before the end of year! Sure, call us biased … but fortunately, we’ve been getting tons of great feedback and reports of hearing this track in clubs and at parties everywhere! Lady Gaga goes New Wave! And it sounds like both artists need some serious relationship counselling.

DJ Jay-R of C.H.A.O.S. Productions – Ke$ha Just Wants To Have Fun (Ke$ha vs. Cyndi Lauper) – Oakland. Just listen to the lyrics of Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok,” and really, isn’t is basically just a raunchier, more updated version of “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” anyway? This track is fun, flirty, and ready to rock the party. A much-welcome comeback for Oakland’s own DJ Jay-R.
Jeff Jones – Party In The Empire State (Jay-Z & Alicia Keys vs. Miley Cyrus) – Boston. For our first Bootie NYC party in three months, we just KNEW we had to drop a mashup of the instantly-iconic “Empire State of Mind.” Only one problem … there weren’t that many out there! But mere minutes before we left for the party, we found this simple-yet-effective A+B. And let’s face it, with Miley name-dropping Jay-Z, coupled with the whole “hands up” vibe of both songs, these two were obviously meant to be together!
NEW YORK CITY BONUS TRACK! Purple Crush – NYC Bad Girl Lovegame (Purple Crush vs. Lady Gaga) – Los Angeles. We’re feeling the love with New York lately, perhaps due to the fact that we unexpectedly had our biggest Bootie party ever there — over 840 people! It was crazy, so we’re throwing in an NYC-inspired bonus track, created by Purple Crush, a Brooklyn-based electro duo who recently moved to LA. We love it when artists mash up their own tunes!
The Kleptones – Cubikini (Bikini Kill vs. 808 State) – Brighton, UK. From the album Upside/Downtime This is the soundtrack of our lives back in the early ’90s, where a typical weekend might consist of going to see a Riot Grrrl girl band play at some trashy punk club down the street, before heading out to an all-night rave in a warehouse on the outskirts of town. Did The Kleptones do the same thing? We love hearing surprising and rarely (if ever) used source material in a mashup, such as Bikini Kill’s “Rebel Girl.”
DJ Le Clown - Billie Bootie Lazer (Michael Jackson vs. Major Lazer) - Paris. For the record, Adrian HATES Major Lazer, finding its bloops and bleets incredibly annoying. D, on the other hand, loves the crazy sampling sounds and ridiculous rhythms. But here, we find some middle ground, as MJ gives a jolt of familiar melodicism to the modern, oh-so-hipster, “lazer” sound.
MadMixMustang – Is This Digital Love? (Bob Marley vs. Daft Punk) - The Netherlands. Here’s another mashup that we like, in spite of its source material. Neither one of us are especially big fans of reggae — but Daft Punk sounds so shockingly well-suited paired up with Bob Marley, taking an electronic jam and turning it into anthem of love and unity. It’s the dance floor equivalent of “warm fuzzies.”
Marc Johnce – Mr. Crowley Might Like It Louder (Ozzy Osbourne vs. Dada, Obernik & Harris vs. Amanda Blank vs. Major Lazer) – Germany. We love it when hard rock artists from the ’80s get the electro-dance bootleg treatment, especially when they sound as bangin’ as this. How awesome is Ozzy’s “Mr. Crowley” for a dark Electro-Bootie set? Dude, it rocks.
Mashup-Germany – Sexy Bitch In Memphis (Akon vs. Justin Timberlake vs. Robyn vs. The Eagles vs. Cher vs. David Guetta) – Germany. Can rap lyrics get any more shallow and ridiculous? What’s left to do but take them and mash them up with other artists, both probable (Hi, Justin!) and highly unlikely (OMG, the Eagles!). A nice multi-mash from hot newcomer Mashup-Germany.
DJ Morgoth - Any Way You Want My Woman (Journey vs. Wolfmother vs. MSTRKRFT) – Berlin. Wherein, Bootie Berlin’s own DJ Morgoth discovers the awesomeness of a classic American arena rock band from the ’80s by mashing up a song of theirs that came out before he was even born! See? Journey’s music really is the new Great American Songbook! And it sounds hot mashed-up with the Aussie retro-rock of Wolfmother remixed into a sexy groove by hipster heroes MSTRKRFT. Both these bands love the ladies … it’s oh-so-rock-n-roll!
Winkar Lopez – Shots (Hands Up Bootleg) (LMFAO feat. Lil Jon vs. Winkar Lopez) – Mexico City. As unapologetic and unironic fans of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” we have a soft spot for LMFAO, who not only did the show’s theme song, but whose commercial for “Shots” practically became the show’s OTHER theme song. Winkar Lopez’s bootleg remix will have you “beating up the beat” and fist-pumping like a true guido! “Shotshotshotsshotshots… EVERYBODY!!!”

I personally believe that music in this decade has been a bit stale as many artists sound a little too much a like. I’ve found myself relying on my personal music collection, rather than listening to local or satellite radio. In the last few years, music mashups have been one of my favorite additions to my iPod. Thanks to Bootie, I’ve loaded up on the best free music mashups from some of the best DJs in the world.

Thanks to a tip from Dealnews.com, I wanted to post a short entry to let you know you can now download 1,339 Free MP3 songs from Amazon.com. No purchase required, but you will need a free Amazon Account and to download the Free Amazon MP3 Downloader. When I first saw this deal, I assumed they’d all be unknown or unsigned artists. Though you’ll find quite a few artists you probably haven’t heard of, you should be able to find some you know such as Ziggy Marley, Jars of Clay and Jamiroquai.
